All Products Are Not Created Equal
There are too many product lines out there to keep track of & count any more. These lines are as varied in scope and quality as you can imagine. How do you go about finding one that is better than the others? There are some easy ways to figure it out.
- Is it something your professional stylist recommends?
- Can you find it in Major, Large Chain Retail?
- Is the line clinically tested by an independent 3rd party?
These 3 items are all you really need to look for when you are making a decision.
I can almost hear you thinking: “You’re a stylist, of course you want me to purchase product from you, and at highly inflated prices.” While I do want to create revenue from retail sales, my motives are not money motivated. I recommend high quality products to my clients because I want to be sure they are getting the most out of the services they pay me for. If I do a gorgeous color on you, & tell you to use whatever you want, or a line that is going to strip out your color, I’m doing you a dis-service. It is my job to provide superior quality services to my you as my client, and I believe that extends to what I recommend you use at home.
A company that is selling their product in chain retail is often more concerned with profits over quality, or the product could well be of inferior quality or even counterfeit (personally, I find it hard to believe that the products showing up on chain retail shelves are counterfeit, but that is what the manufacturers insist on telling us).
Clinical testing by an independent 3rd party is not only impartial, it is costly. When you find a company who is so proud of their product, & sure of what it can do for you, that they invest in the studies, you have a winner. Companies of this type are hard to find, but they do exist.
When you find a company that has the trifecta, Stylist recommended, not in chain retail, & 3rd party tested, it is one that you can feel very confident in using and having excellent results.
